McFarlane’s electrical journey started at 15 in high school. By graduation in 2008, he stepped directly into commercial electrical work, and when the economy collapsed that same year, he was one of only 20 workers retained out of 70 laid off. That environment, surrounded by the best in the trade, shaped everything.
Since then, Derek has worked on multimillion-dollar homes on Martha’s Vineyard, contributed to critical infrastructure at Massachusetts General Hospital and Beth Israel during COVID-19 as an essential worker.
He has very high standards: quality work, honest pricing, strong communication, and professionalism on every job.
